Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and operate a cloud-based data lake platform. This role will support infrastructure, CI/CD, security, monitoring, and platform tooling for data engineering and analytics teams.

This is you

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services

• Strong DevOps skills using and command line tools and interfaces

• Hands-on experience with building and contributing to Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform

• Proficiency with Python for automation and tooling

• Strong working knowledge of SQL

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and AWS Code Pipeline

• Understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, monitoring, and operational best practices

• Familiarity with data lake concepts such as object storage, catalogs, schemas, partitions, and access patterns.

This is your role

• Build and maintain infrastructure for an AWS native data lake

• Using services such as S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Airflow, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, IAM, and ECS

• Develop and manage via Infrastructure as Code, mostly in Terraform

• Create and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data platform deployments

• Troubleshoot platform, deployment, permission, and data pipeline issues

• Automate operational and data governance tasks using Python and scripting

• Implement security, access control, encryption, monitoring, and governance standards

• Support downstream teams of data engineers, analysts, and security teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
