Salary: $135/hr – $155/hr
Our client is a large federal government organisation delivering important technology, data and analytics capabilities.A specialist enterprise technology team is strengthening its Azure environment to support modern data, analytics and emerging AI workloads.
You’ll join an established, multidisciplinary environment with a strong focus on contemporary cloud engineering, infrastructure as code and secure, scalable platforms.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to work on sophisticated cloud infrastructure supporting data and analytics workloads.
The initial contract is 12-months with two further 12-month extension options, offering excellent potential for longer-term stability.
The role provides exposure to Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Terraform, DevOps and emerging AI technologies while working on high-value government initiatives.
The team operates a hybrid model while supporting flexible arrangements around individual and collaboration needs.
The Role
You will take ownership of the detailed solution design, development and implementation of Azure infrastructure supporting data and analytics platforms.
Working with technical specialists and business stakeholders, you’ll use an infrastructure-as-code delivery model to create secure, reliable and maintainable cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building and maintaining Azure cloud platforms and services
- Developing and managing infrastructure using Terraform
- Building and supporting Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Working across Azure networking, IAM, security and policy
- Supporting Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Web Apps and Logic Apps
- Designing infrastructure for data, analytics and AI workloads
- Collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
- Contributing within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams
You’ll bring strong hands-on experience designing, building and maintaining cloud-hosted platforms, with strength across Microsoft Azure and infrastructure as code.
You will ideally have experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps and cloud security concepts including networking, Identity and Access Management and policy. Experience delivering infrastructure for data engineering, storage, analytics or data science environments will be particularly valuable.
You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively in an Agile, multidisciplinary environment and engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
Salary / Rate
