About the Role

We're looking for a talented Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in the evolution of our cloud and infrastructure environment.

Reporting to the Head of Technology Services, this varied role will see you take ownership of our Azure platform, lead meaningful technology initiatives and drive improvements across security, automation, performance and reliability.

You'll play a key role in ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable and scalable while identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve user experience and reduce operational risk.

This role offers a balance of project work, continuous improvement and technical leadership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, secure and optimise Fleetcare's Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Lead infrastructure and cloud projects from concept through to implementation.
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Support security, governance, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
  • Monitor performance, availability and cost efficiency across cloud services.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Fleetcare's technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability and operational efficiency.

  • Azure Engineer
  • Cloud Engineer

To be successful, you'll bring experience in several of the following areas:

  • Microsoft Azure administration and support
  • Cloud infrastructure and platform management
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
  • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup and Site Recovery
  • Microsoft Defender and cloud security technologies
  • Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure
  • Networking, virtualisation and storage technologies
  • Infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python or similar)
  • Disaster recovery, business continuity and governance practices
  • Technical troubleshooting and project delivery

Most importantly, you'll be a proactive problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively and continuously improving the technology environment.

Highly Regarded

  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience within financial services, leasing or fleet management industries
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Intune or modern endpoint management technologies
