About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer to join an enterprise-scale Data Foundation initiative within the Food & FMCG industry.
You will develop and enhance a cloud-based data platform using Azure Databricks, Python/PySpark, SQL and Terraform, working closely with Product Architects and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale Azure Databricks data pipelines.
Develop data processing solutions using Python, PySpark and SQL.
Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
Build and maintain data integration and orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
Collaborate with architects and developers to improve platform architecture, scalability and maintainability.
Contribute to technical implementation of complex features, services and APIs.
Improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, strengthening automation and deployment reliability.
Perform code reviews, provide technical guidance and share engineering best practices.
Reduce technical debt and improve testing, observability, performance and platform resilience.
Required Skills & Experience
Several years of experience developing and maintaining enterprise-scale data platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
Solid expertise in Microsoft Azure services.
Practical experience with Terraform.
Strong programming skills in Python / PySpark.
Very good knowledge of SQL.
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
Experience collaborating with architects and cross-functional engineering teams.
Very good English, used daily in an international environment.
Nice to Have
Experience with GitHub.
Broader knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience with code reviews, technical coaching and knowledge sharing.
Familiarity with automated testing, observability and platform reliability practices.
