Hybrid role (onsite 3x/week) in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, on a 1-year engagement.
About the Role
Our client, an international development finance institution, is modernizing its bank-wide financial projection system - moving from Excel/VBA and legacy database tables onto a scalable Azure Data Ecosystem architecture.
As Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize the enterprise data platform that powers this transformation, from Azure-based pipelines through Databricks and Power BI/Tableau reporting.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines and data lake/warehouse architecture on Azure.
- Implement modern data engineering tools and frameworks — Databricks, Azure Data Factory.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data platform performance and reliability.
- Prepare high-level and detailed technical designs for data solutions.
- Apply CI/CD automation and software development best practices.
- Collaborate with product delivery teams and stakeholders in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban).
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering.
- Proven Azure cloud experience, including CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Hands-on Databricks, Python, and PySpark data pipeline development.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL and enterprise data source integration.
