Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Summary

Senior Azure DevOps Engineer leads a large-scale migration of Java/.NET systems from on-prem to Azure, building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/Jenkins and automating infra with Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.

We are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to spearhead a high-impact enterprise digital transformation initiative, driving the massive migration and modernization of a hybrid infrastructure. This role centers on the complex re-platforming and automation of 20+ mission-critical, large-scale Java and .NET ecosystems, transitioning them from legacy on-premises enterprise datacentres into a highly resilient, scalable Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale robust Cloud and on-premises environments tailored for complex migration initiatives
  • Design and integrate continuous delivery workflows using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and CodeDeploy for zero-downtime releases
  • Modernize Virtual Machine lifecycle management and provisioning using best-in-class operational practices
  • Develop and maintain scalable Terraform modules, enforcing rigorous enterprise security and governance through Security Groups and RBAC
  • Write maintainable Python and PowerShell code to automate operational tasks and streamline complex deployments

Requirements

  • 5+ years of production-grade experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps Services
  • Hands-on experience architecting and operating Kubernetes clusters in production
  • Deep architectural understanding of deployment pipelines, continuous integration, and release engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform (Core), including state management, modular design, and secure provisioning
  • Skills in Python and PowerShell for writing maintainable automation scripts
  • Excellent knowledge of Git workflows, including branching strategies and PR reviews
  • A solid, comprehensive engineering background in systems administration, networking, and DevOps culture
  • Proficiency in English at a B2+ level

Nice to have

  • Experience managing complex infrastructure scale with Terragrunt
  • Background in architecting advanced monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using CloudWatch, Datadog, and Splunk
  • Familiarity with ELK stack and Sumo Logic
  • Understanding of the broader Azure ecosystem and other major cloud providers
