Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (German Speaking)
Summary
Senior DevOps role focused on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and IaC using Terraform. The position requires C1 German proficiency, integration of AI tools into DevOps workflows, and involves regular travel to Zurich (40% onsite).

- 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer,
- practical experience with Microsoft Azure,
- strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes,
- experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes,
- experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Checkmk, or equivalent solutions,
- hands-on experience using AI tools in DevOps work, for example to generate code and scripts, automate tasks, or create technical documentation,
- understanding of security practices and experience integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines,
- experience working in Agile environments, using SAFe, Scrum, or similar frameworks,
- strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving infrastructure and delivery processes,
- German at C1 level or native proficiency, with the ability to understand Swiss German,
- good command of English (min. B2),
- availability to work onsite in Zurich for up to 40% of the time.
- Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
- experience working in public-sector organizations or public companies,
- experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
- interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
