Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
Permanent | $170,000 + Super | Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office
We're partnering with a well-established organisation looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to help build, automate and improve its Azure cloud environment.
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving cloud engineering practices and creating secure, scalable platforms through automation.
What you'll be doing
- Designing, building and supporting scalable infrastructure across Microsoft Azure
- Automating cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code, ideally Bicep or Terraform
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
- Engineering Azure networking solutions across VNets, subnets, routing, private endpoints, firewalls and connectivity
- Improving the security, reliability, scalability and performance of the Azure environment
- Developing reusable infrastructure modules, deployment patterns and engineering standards
- Troubleshooting complex cloud, deployment and networking issues
- Working closely with engineering, architecture, security and operations teams
- Mentoring other engineers and helping uplift DevOps and cloud engineering capability
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience engineering and supporting Microsoft Azure environments
- Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience using Bicep or Terraform
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, routing, private endpoints, DNS and hybrid connectivity
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tooling
- Strong understanding of Azure identity, security, governance and monitoring
- Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar
- A strong troubleshooting mindset and the ability to work across complex cloud environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Previous experience operating at a senior engineering level
