Senior Back-end Engineer
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to transform ideas into functional software solutions
- Take full ownership of your projects while still being a strong collaborator within the team
- Creatively solve problems, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to an evolving platform
- Ensure platform reliability and contribute to a secure and scalable codebase
- Collaborate on third-party integrations like Stripe to streamline payments and donations
- Implement key platform features, from the backend logic to user-facing components
- Review code for quality and performance
- Offer guidance to junior developers
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails
- Hands-on experience building scalable systems in AWS environments
- Proactive and self-driven attitude
- Ability to clearly articulate technical ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Startup experience
- Experience working with US companies
- Familiarity with Stripe Connect Express or other payment gateways is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
