Senior Back-end Engineer
- This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) for a 3-6-month contract. With possibilities to extend the contract for a long term
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications built on Laravel
- Work with queues (Beanstalkd, Redis, Supervisor) to handle large-scale workloads
- Build and integrate APIs (internal and 3rd-party: CRMs, messaging platforms, payment systems)
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code following modern PHP standards
- Collaborate with AI and frontend teams to deliver new features
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and scalability
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency with PHP 8+
- Deep knowledge of advanced Laravel concepts (interfaces, abstract classes)
- Proficiency with Redis and Postgres (deep understanding of indexes, performance optimization, migrations)
- Deep experience in projects with high volume (high-traffic, high-transaction systems and platform stability)
- Experience with queues (Beanstalkd, Redis, Supervisor, Horizon)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integrations
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, and Linux servers
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Startup experience
- Experience with Twilio and Telleo, for SMS and communication services (or similar communication platforms)
- Experience with CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience scaling high-concurrency systems
- Background in AI/ML-driven applications
- Familiarity with Vue.js or modern front-end technologies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
