Senior Backend and DevOps Engineer

You will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS. You will contribute to architecture for high availability, performance, and scalability; manage CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure as code; optimise SQL and NoSQL databases; build APIs and microservice integrations; and implement observability and fault-tolerant systems. You will also participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Contribute to system architecture that ensures high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement infrastructure as code.
• Design and optimise SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal services, external APIs, and microservices.
• Implement logging, monitoring, telemetry, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Collaborate with frontend, game, and DevOps teams to integrate systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of backend development experience and prior senior-level experience.
• Have strong experience with TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem, including NestJS, Express, or Fastify.
• Have proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Have experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.
• Understand distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Have experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
• Understand RESTful API design.
• Have English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher.
