Senior Backend Dev ( C++ and Payment)

Summary

Builds and optimizes C++ backend services for payment processing, integrating with card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI) and migrating platforms to Base24-eps on Linux/AWS.

  • Backend development experience with strong hands-on programming using C++ for enterprise-grade applications and transaction processing systems
  • Strong experience developing backend applications running on Linux environments, preferably RHEL
  • Experience in payment systems including payment gateways, transaction processing, card payments, or switching platforms
  • Experience integrating with international payment schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI or similar payment networks
  • Hands-on experience with Linux shell scripting, preferably Korn Shell scripting
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or relational databases in backend applications
  • Experience with AWS Cloud environments supporting backend/payment applications
  • Experience with IBM MQ middleware for enterprise messaging/integration
  • Experience with Base24-eps payment switching platform
  • Experience with payment security standards including PCI-DSS and secure transaction processing practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance backend services supporting payment processing and transaction switching platforms.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with international payment schemes including:
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • UPI
  • Support payment platform migration initiatives including implementation of Base24-eps on Linux RHEL / Cloud environments.
  • Analyse technical requirements and contribute to solution design, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.
  • Develop high-performance backend components for large-scale transaction processing environments.
  • Perform system optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for payment switching platforms.
  • Work closely with QA teams, frontend teams, business stakeholders, banks, vendors, and payment partners.
  • Ensure solutions comply with payment security requirements including:
  • PCI-DSS standards
  • Card scheme requirements
  • Secure transaction processing practices
  • Document system architecture, integration flows, and technical specifications
