Senior Backend Developer, C#, Python

• Design, build and operate backend services in C#/.NET and Python, including APIs, data pipelines and integration services
• Work on medical imaging backends using DICOM/DICOMweb and NIFTI
• Support real-time data flows to XR clients, focusing on reliability, latency and session stability
• Containerize and ship services via Docker/Kubernetes, including workflow orchestration such as Argo Workflows and CI/CD
• Build observability and security through structured logging/metrics and SBOM/SOUP hygiene
• Maintain compatibility with EU MDR, IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 requirements, risk linkage and traceability
• Review code, mentor peers and help shape backend architecture and engineering standards
• Collaborate with XR engineering, clinical stakeholders and Quality/Regulatory
• Build software powering apoQlar’s HoloMedicine® Mixed and Augmented Reality medical platform

Requirements

• Several years’ professional experience building backend services in C#/.NET
• Solid working command of Python
• Strong grasp of API design, distributed systems and data modeling
• Ability to reason about architecture, trade-offs and performance as a peer
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes; cloud experience is a plus
• Comfortable with relational and/or document databases, async messaging and integration patterns
• Pragmatic approach to testing, CI/CD and code quality
• Knowledge of medical imaging, DICOM, DICOMweb, FHIR and NIFTI
• Fluent in English
• German is a plus
• Experience with regulated medical software such as EU MDR, IEC 62304, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 is nice to have
• Real-time media/streaming experience with WebRTC and TURN/ICE is nice to have
• Familiarity with Grafana/Prometheus/Loki and Dependency-Track, Trivy and CycloneDX is nice to have
• Exposure to XR/AR/VR platforms or a clinical environment is nice to have
