Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d)

Here’s what you can look forward to

• Responsibility for backend Java web applications on HUK24.de and HUK.de
• Collaboration in a cross-functional team throughout the entire software development lifecycle
• Close coordination with internal clients and advising on the technical feasibility of digital innovations
• Designing new backend functions for the customer frontend
• Developing interfaces to existing backend systems
• Responsibility for deployment, operation, and scaling of highly available backend services
• Use of automated tests (JUnit, Postman/Newman) for continuous quality assurance and optimization

Your Profile

• Degree, vocational training in IT, or comparable qualification with a focus on software development
• High level of technical expertise combined with strong teamwork and communication skills in an agile environment
• Several years of experience developing Java-based applications with Spring Boot or Quarkus (ideally including MicroProfile)
• Experience with cloud environments (serverless on AWS), REST APIs, and automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of DevOps practices such as containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring
• Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and evaluate them for use in projects
• Sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues, e.g., through code reviews or pair programming
