Summary
NowPay is hiring a Senior Backend Developer in Cairo to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, working closely with the engineering team. The role centers on NodeJS and NestJS with JavaScript, relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
- We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NodeJS and NestJS, as well as proficiency in Javascript.
- Experience with cloud services, particularly (AWS, GCP), is essential for this role.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices is a plus, as we aim to streamline our development processes.
- You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs.
- You will work closely with the rest of the engineering team to design and implement scalable and reliable backend solutions.
- You will also work with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity and performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in NodeJS and NestJS frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Javascript and its asynchronous programming model.
- Experience with (AWS, GCP) services and cloud-based architectures.
- Familiarity with relational databases, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices is a plus.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
