Senior Backend Developer (PHP / Go / Node.js) – Remote, Thailand

RMG Talent is working with the technology team of a regulated FX/CFD brokerage that is seeking to onboard a Senior Backend Developer.

The successful candidate will turn business requirements into well-structured, secure and scalable backend systems, APIs, background processes and scripts, and keep extending them so they can evolve sustainably over the long term. This is a senior, hands-on role with a strong focus on maintainable code, secure API design and AI-assisted development.

Salary: approx. THB 60,000 gross per month, depending on skills and experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Translate business requirements into clear system designs and working software

• Design and build secure, scalable backend systems in PHP, Go or Node.js

• Extend and evolve existing systems so they continue to grow sustainably

• Build secure systems that follow established standards, with real protection against common attack vectors

• Design, build, document and integrate APIs for other teams and systems to consume

• Use AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, and rigorously review and validate all AI-generated output

• Verify that systems meet requirements through systematic testing, code review and validation

• Communicate technical decisions clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of commercial experience building web systems with PHP, Go or Node.js

• Strong API development and integration experience (REST and other styles), including documentation

• Solid understanding of web security standards, with practical, working approaches to attack prevention

• Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases

• Hands-on use of AI tools to assist development, with the discipline to review AI-generated work

• Strong testing and code-validation habits

• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving and technical decision-making

• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex topics simply to the team and stakeholders

• Collaborative team player, open to ideas and feedback, eager to learn new technologies

• Good command of English, spoken and written

• Based in Thailand with the right to work there
