Senior Backend Developer
Summary
Build and migrate a Go-based backend to replace a legacy Magento system, integrating APIs and optimizing performance for an ecommerce platform.
The current 3ID Online Acquisition system is built by vendor, which no longer meets the scalability and agility required for business growth. We plan to migrate to an existing in-house system. This migration requires the expertise of a Senior Backend Developer to help with architecture alignment, system integration, and performance optimization. The dedicated resource will work closely with internal teams including product, marketing, and frontend engineers to minimize requirement gaps and speed up the migration process..
2. Scope of Work
This role focuses on the migration of the existing 3ID Online Acquisition platform from Magento to a Golang-based backend system. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement backend services in Golang to replace current functionality
- Conduct system analysis, requirement clarification, and migration strategy planning
- Optimize backend performance, maintainability, and integration with third‑party APIs
- Support data migration, testing, and go‑live processes
- Assist in project management if necessary
- Proactively establishing new ideas for system development solutions
- Responsible in development, testing, maintenance & support of web application
- Work closely with DevOps and QA to ensure smooth production deployment
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Informatics / Software Engineering or related fields
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development, preferably Golang
- Experience in integrating APIs and working with microservices architecture
- Prior involvement in system migration or replatforming projects
Skills:
- Proficient in Golang or Java and API development.
- Solid understanding of microservices and RESTful principles.
- Having solid understanding in web performance tuning.
- Experience in requirement gathering, problem solving, system design, and solution delivery
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Indonesian
- Knowledge of containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Knowledge in Agile Scrum is an advantage
