Summary
Senior backend developer on Section's Singapore technology team, building and maintaining scalable web applications on the Sitecore CMS with ASP.NET MVC, managing hosting environments, QA testing and troubleshooting, while mentoring junior developers. Core stack: Sitecore, ASP.NET, HTML5/CSS3, jQuery, REST APIs.
The Role
You will be part of the technology team. The technology team believes in innovating and pushing the boundaries of web development. They research, review, iterate and develop meaningful interactions between the client’s product/project and its intended users. The team is made up of Tech director, other lead developers and developer for web and app functions.
A senior backend developer works alongside front end developers, full stack developers, programmers or UX specialists to create comprehensive digital solutions for business needs.
They make sure the website is scalable and that it can still function when hit by large loads—be that traffic or demanding scripts. They are also tasked with maintaining and testing existing back end elements to ensure they’re as fast and efficient as possible. Data storage also comes under their remit, which requires them to have a good knowledge of data security and compliance.
Additionally for this role, the senior backend developer must be knowledgeable in using Sitecore to create digital solutions that will meet the team’s business needs.
As a senior, they are also expected to be a good role model and guide other developers to being a better team player and developer.

Requirements
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant fields
At least 4 years relevant experience.
Knowledge on terminologies for Sitecore Data Infrastructure
Mastery over Sitecore CMS Structure - Taxonomy via User-Defined Templates, Layouts and Components
Mastery over Designing and Developing Public Portal Applications via ASP.NET MVC on Sitecore - MVC on ASP.NET Core 1.0 is a plus
Extensive experience in building Mobile-Responsive Web Applications on top of the Sitecore CMS Platform
Familiar with related technologies i.e. HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, REST API, AJAX, NodeJS, ASP.NET - ASP.NET MVC preferred
Knowledge and experience with compliance and data security is also important, especially after the implementation of GDPR.
