Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Fenris Creations, you will contribute to the EVE Vanguard project, shaping cloud-backed gameplay services. You will work within a small, collaborative team to deliver scalable backend systems on AWS using Golang, guided by Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture. You’ll align with both technical and non-technical colleagues and support live operations via a compensated on-call rota. This role offers the chance to learn quickly, influence architectural choices, and help bring an ambitious game universe to life.

• Develop and maintain backend services for the project on AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional team including technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Learn quickly and get up to speed with the project and stack
• Participate in on-call rotation to support live game services
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions within DDD/EDA principles

• direct experience with Golang and AWS
• foundation in programming, problem solving, networking, and software design
