Senior Backend Engineer
You will design, develop, and operate backend architectures for large-scale digital-asset transactions and customer-facing services. You will ensure transaction consistency, idempotency, security, compliance, reliability, and scalability. You will analyze monitoring data and incidents, write effective tests, collaborate on business requirements, and improve services through performance analysis and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement architectures for high-volume asset transactions, including trading and deposits and withdrawals.
- Integrate with banking and blockchain systems to process customer asset transactions accurately.
- Record, manage, and prepare transaction data for use by related departments.
- Design and implement backend architectures for customer-facing services.
- Clarify complex business requirements with planning, operations, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
- Ensure transaction consistency and idempotency in scalable architectures.
- Design resilient, self-healing systems in MSA and distributed infrastructure environments.
- Analyze logs and monitoring metrics to prevent, detect, investigate, and prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Write effective test code for exception cases and boundary conditions.
- Design systems that protect customer assets under a zero-trust security model.
- Integrate compliance requirements including Travel Rule, AML, and FDS systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating backend architectures for customer-facing services.
- 5+ years of backend service development experience with Spring, Kotlin, or Java.
- Experience using AI coding agents for code writing, testing, refactoring, and output validation.
- Experience operating high-traffic or highly available services and improving performance and reliability.
- Experience designing systems in an MSA environment with service communication, data consistency, and fault isolation considerations.
- Advanced understanding of operating systems, databases, networks, and infrastructure-layer principles.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Ruby or Python.
