Senior Backend Engineer

We are expanding our core engineering team and seeking a passionate and motivated Software Engineers at all levels to join us in our high-performing and agile collaborative environment.

Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will work on our flagship product, building new features and enhancing them whilst utilizing modern technology like Java 17, Spring Boot within an hybrid architecture (on premise + cloud services).

• Take full ownership of the product you are crafting
• You will be involved in the full life cycle of software engineering, including requirement analysis, prototyping, design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Ensure correctness, maintainability, and sustainability of the delivered solutions, following and promoting our established mindset for well-crafted design, code, and testing.

Qualifications

• A can-do attitude and abundance mindset - you'll be involved in the full software life cycle, including decision-making from design to production.
• Good taste and basic knowledge of modern, scalable software architecture.
• Any knowledge of distributed systems is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing high-quality modern APIs and back-end systems.
• Passion about writing clean code.
• Ability to analyze and challenge business requirements, brainstorm technology ideas, and design/build efficient cloud solutions.

• Passion, curiosity, pragmatism, and humility. We favor code and demos over lengthy discussions.

Technical Skills – Required

• Hand on expereince of Java and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Gradle, Docker.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and cloud-native development.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of software build processes, versioning, and deployment workflows.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Kotlin and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with Angular, REST, gRPC APIs.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or the Elastic Stack.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially using GitHub Actions.
