Senior Backend Engineer, Genomics Data Platform (Remote)

Sequencing is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and improve our distributed backend systems behind a genomics platform.

You’ll own data pipelines with Apache Spark and DuckDB, design storage and indexing (PostgreSQL, Redis) and manage async processing with SQS, RabbitMQ, and BullMQ.

This fully remote role is open to candidates in UTC-5 to UTC+3; bring 5+ years of production backend experience and a craft-driven, detail-focused mindset.
