What’s the role?

To help us build upon our success, we are seeking aFull Stack Software Engineer to contribute in improving our search system performance and scalability. The position reports to the Software Development Manager and will work in close conjunction with the Product, Algorithm/Data Science, and various Engineering teams

What will you be doing?

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend services and APIs that power our core platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Develop and maintain databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and data modelling
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs with a focus on security, performance, and clear documentation
• Build and maintain data pipelines and backend automation workflows
• Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, contract) to guarantee reliability and scalability
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical issues through root cause analysis
• Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into backend solutions
• Contribute to system design discussions, code reviews, and a positive team engineering culture

• StrongproficiencyinGolang,withexperiencebuildingscalableandmaintainablebackendservices
• ExperiencewithscriptinglanguagessuchasPythonforautomation,dataprocessing,ortooling
• Experiencewithpipeline/workfloworchestrationtoolssuchasApacheAirflow
• SolidexperiencewithbothSQLandNoSQLdatabasesystems
• ExperiencewithdistributedcachingtechnologiessuchasRedis,Memcached,orValkey
• Experiencewithatleastonemessagingorqueueingsystem,suchasAWSSQS,AzureServiceBusQueue,Kafka,orRabbitMQ
• Experienceusingatleastonemonitoringorobservabilityplatform,suchasPrometheus,Grafana,OpenTelemetry,AmazonCloudWatch,Datadog,PagerDuty,orLoki
• Hands-onexperiencewithDocker,Kubernetes,andHorizontalPodAutoscaling(HPA)
• Strongunderstandingofdatastructures,algorithms,andsystemdesignprinciples
• Experiencewritingclean,modular,testablecodewithanemphasisonmaintainability
• SolidgraspofHTTP,RESTAPIdesignpatterns,andAPIsecuritybestpractices
• Strongproblem-solvingskillsandattentiontodetail
• Excellentcommunicationandcollaborationskills
