Senior Backend Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain backend services for ING’s retail tech stack, including RESTful APIs, databases, and messaging services, while adopting DevOps, Agile, and security best practices.

Key Capabilities/Experience
• Proven track-record of building backend solutions, including implementing RESTful APIs,
interfacing with databases, and integrating with messaging services, using a modern
tech stack
• Strong fundamentals in software development, including proficiency in OOP, functional
programming, design patterns, concurrency, and TDD
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation
• Experience working in Agile, collaborating with teams, and demonstrating adaptability
in a multicultural environment• Willingness to learn cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and IT risk
