Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Banking Domain)

Job Summary

We are hiring a Backend Developer to design and build scalable backend systems in the banking domain. The role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions and developing high quality services using modern Java frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel
• Analyse business requirements and support solution delivery
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations
• Collaborate with cross functional teams
• Ensure application performance, quality, and scalability
• Troubleshoot issues and optimise systems
• Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Apache Camel and system integration
• Knowledge of REST APIs and databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Git and version control
• Strong problem solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Banking or financial services experience
• Cloud exposure AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, CI CD
