We are looking for: Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Kotlin, AI-assisted development)

General info:

• Location: remote (occasional on-site planning meetings in Poland)

• Start: ASAP

• Duration: initial 6-month contract with planned extension

• General info: contract, full-time

• Rate: 140-170 PLN/h

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications in the JVM ecosystem

• Solve technical problems using AI tools and coding agents

• Design application architecture and make technical decisions

• Create and maintain automated tests

• Take part in deployments, monitoring and keeping applications stable

• Look after observability, reliability and performance of the services

• Take part in on-call duty and resolve production issues

• Work with the team on services that handle high traffic

Requirements:

• Experience at Senior Backend Engineer level

• Very good knowledge of Java or Kotlin and the JVM ecosystem

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted programming, especially AI coding agents

• Ability to delegate tasks to AI effectively and verify the quality of generated code

• Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to design backend applications independently and make architectural decisions

• Experience with high-traffic applications

• Independence and ownership of the full software lifecycle
