Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js to join their high-performing, fully remote engineering team. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and robust server-side applications and APIs that power their core products. This role demands a deep understanding of backend architecture, database management, and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions and maintain a high standard of code quality and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server-side code using Node.js. Develop and manage RESTful APIs and microservices that support complex applications. Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system architecture for scalability and security. Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic. Implement robust security and data protection measures. Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and contribute to the team's technical roadmap. Requirements Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or Senior Software Engineer, with extensive experience in Node.js. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and Java Script best practices. Experience with database technologies, both SQL (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL) and No SQL (e.g., Mongo DB). Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
