Senior Backend Engineer
You will build and scale secure backend infrastructure, services, APIs, and tooling for onchain protocols and offchain infrastructure. You will work on token onboarding, investor flows, bridging, custody integrations, and automation and observability tools. You will collaborate with smart contract, product, and frontend colleagues to define robust interfaces and deliver high-performance applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure backend systems and APIs for onchain protocols and offchain infrastructure.
- Collaborate with smart contract engineers to define interfaces and workflows between backend services and blockchain networks.
- Own integrations with custodians, identity and KYC providers, payments infrastructure, and third-party blockchain tooling.
- Support internal operations, investor services, and compliance teams with automation, auditability, and observability tools.
- Establish and enforce backend engineering standards, best practices, and security protocols.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Familiarity with Go, Python, C++, and TypeScript.
- Understanding of distributed systems, system design, and API development.
- Experience integrating with cloud infrastructure, third-party services, and security- or compliance-sensitive systems.
- Interest in Web3 or DeFi.
- Located in a United States time zone from Pacific Time to Eastern Time.
