Designs, builds, and maintains secure, scalable backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs, collaborating with Product, Frontend, Mobile, and DevOps teams. Core stack is Node.js and TypeScript on AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS/SNS).
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems and APIs. You will work closely with Product, Frontend, Mobile, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, high-performance applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Build and optimize REST and GraphQL APIs
- Design and maintain database schemas and data models
- Develop event-driven and serverless applications
- Integrate with third-party APIs and enterprise systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Requirements
- 5–8 years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs
- Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of database design, security, and performance optimization
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred: Experience with AWS AppSync, Serverless Architecture, Event-Driven Systems, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or AWS CDK, and building enterprise SaaS platforms
