The Job
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a cloud-based financial reconciliation and data platform.
This position is suitable for an experienced backend engineer who has built reliable, large-scale systems and is ready to take ownership of architecture, engineering quality, and team technical direction.
The project primarily uses Python, Django, and AWS. We also welcome strong backend leaders coming from Java, Golang, or similar technology backgrounds who have solid system-design fundamentals and are comfortable working with or transitioning to Python, and fluent in English communication.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Django
- Build and maintain financial reconciliation data platform with AWS cloud services
- Build reliable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications that support business growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver products end-to-end
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational support
- Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
- Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Your Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience developing backend applications using Python and Django
- Experience building scalable, production-grade enterprise applications
- Strong experience with AWS services, including: SNS, SQS, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3
- Experience working with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code and other modern AI engineering assistants
- Proven ability to partner with stakeholders and deliver products from ideation through production deployment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Passion for software craftsmanship, maintainable system design, testing, observability, and continuous improvement
- Fluent in English.
