Senior backend engineer (python/django)

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust backend services using Python and the Django framework. Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features. Manage database schemas and interactions (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL). Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning. Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development. Proven expertise in Python and the Django web framework. Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. Proficiency with relational databases such as Postgre SQL, My SQL, or similar. Experience with version control systems (Git). Understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, Java Script) is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis) and message queues (e.g., Rabbit MQ, Kafka) is advantageous.
