Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
  
• Build, optimize, and support RESTful APIs and microservices.
  
• Develop real-time backend integrations using WebSockets where required.
  
• Ensure system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
  
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, caching technologies, and distributed architectures.
  
• Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  
• Drive performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
  
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
  
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend application development.
  
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures.
  
• Solid understanding of WebSockets and real-time systems.
  
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  
• Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
  
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high-availability principles.
  
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting production-grade applications.
  
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
  

• Experience in large-scale product, consumer-tech, or platform engineering environments.
  
• Familiarity with complex distributed systems and high-traffic applications.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability tools.
  
• Prior experience building and supporting real-time, highly available backend services.
