Summary
The Senior Backend Engineer will design and build scalable applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS infrastructure. The role requires a full-stack mindset with a focus on architectural decision-making and modern software development best practices.
Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong backend development experience using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with AWS and knowledge of managing infrastructure as code, ideally with CDK.
- Ability to move seamlessly between frontend and backend development, with a passion for architectural decision-making and application design.
- Extensive knowledge of modern software development best practices.
- Enthusiasm for technology and a continuous learning mindset.
- Previous experience in a start-up or scale-up environment is highly desirable.
- Pragmatic approach and ability to prioritize areas that drive growth and performance.
- Take ownership of our backend development, focusing on the core platform.
- Develop responsive, maintainable, and user-centric backend applications.
- Work on a greenfield project with significant impact and contribute to our rapid scaling over the next 1-2 years.
- Collaborate closely with our small, high-performing team in a fast-paced start-up environment.
