Our client, a rapidly scaling technology company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join their thriving, fully remote team. This position is instrumental in developing and maintaining the robust server-side logic and APIs that power our client's cutting-edge platforms. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services and APIs.
- Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code using languages like Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Design and manage database schemas and operations (SQL and No SQL).
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend systems, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
- Mentor junior backend engineers and share best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, both SQL (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL) and No SQL (e.g., Mongo DB, Redis).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote team.
- Experience with message queues (e.g., Rabbit MQ, Kafka) is advantageous.
