Senior backend engineer (remote)

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services and APIs. Lead technical design discussions and contribute significantly to architectural decisions for new features and systems. Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code in languages such as Go, Python, or Java. Optimize application performance, database interactions, and system efficiency. Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions. Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices within the engineering team. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in backend software development. Expertise in designing and building distributed systems and microservices. Strong proficiency with at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java, Node.js). Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and No SQL), caching mechanisms, and message queues.
