Senior backend engineer (remote)

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend services and APIs. Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for efficiency and robustness. Write high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code using languages like Python , Go , or Java. Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers to define API requirements and ensure seamless integration. Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentoring other engineers. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring system stability and minimal downtime. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in backend development with a proven track record of building complex systems. Strong expertise in at least one modern backend programming language and associated frameworks. Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases , caching mechanisms, and distributed systems. Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
