Day-to-day: building Node.js/TypeScript REST APIs on PostgreSQL, owning AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM) plus Terraform/CDK, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and production monitoring/reliability.

Contribute to Meaningful Government Digital Projects Take End-to-End Ownership of Backend Systems & Infrastructure Work on High-Impact, Security-Focused Digital Platforms What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable backend applications and REST APIs using
Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL . Take end-to-end responsibility for backend systems, including architecture, development, deployment, monitoring and production support. Build and manage cloud infrastructure using
AWS EC2, EKS, VPC and IAM , ensuring system reliability, security and performance. Implement
Terraform/AWS CDK, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes
to automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment. Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, security hardening and troubleshooting to maintain stable, compliant production environments. What We're Looking For
6–7+ years of experience
in Backend or Software Engineering, with proven ownership of production-grade applications. Strong hands-on backend development experience with
Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs and PostgreSQL . Solid experience with
AWS cloud infrastructure , particularly EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, cloud networking and security. Proficiency in
Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/AWS CDK and CI/CD practices . Good understanding of
production monitoring, infrastructure automation, security hardening and troubleshooting . Experience in
Government Cloud (GCC) or highly regulated environments
