About the Role
- Design and build backend services powering fintech and SaaS products for healthcare customers
- Develop scalable APIs and database schemas for new product features
- Build and maintain Node.js applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
- Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with Customer Support
- Estimate development effort and proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver new functionality
- Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices as the platform continues to scale
- Help shape a rapidly growing product roadmap while working in a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience
- 5+ years developing backend applications with Node. xhmxlyz js
- 2+ years working with Express.js or similar backend frameworks
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design
- Solid understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design
- Experience building applications in the fintech, payments, banking, lending, or marketplace space strongly preferred
- Comfortable troubleshooting production issues and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
- Self-starter who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-moving environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $160,000–$240,000, depending on experience and location
