Senior Backend Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain a blockchain-based custody platform using Node.js and TypeScript, design secure APIs, and oversee Azure CI/CD pipelines for scalable backend services.
You will enhance and maintain a foundational custody platform, provide technical expertise for product and feature design, and make independent decisions about architecture, software design, and implementation. You will develop scalable and secure backend services and APIs with Node.js and TypeScript, maintain Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines, oversee testing and releases, and establish standards for code quality, automated testing, deployment, diagnostics, and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers to enhance and maintain the foundational custody platform
- Provide technical expertise during the design of new products and features
- Design APIs
- Make independent decisions about architecture, software design, and implementation
- Develop scalable and secure backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines
- Test, roll out, and launch product increments
- Develop and maintain standards for code quality, clean code, automated testing, deployment, diagnostics, and monitoring
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and developing REST APIs with TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience with NestJS is advantageous
- Experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Functions and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, is preferred
- Knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, and/or MongoDB
- In-depth knowledge of web architectures, API design, and OAuth2-based authentication methods
- Experience with software security and automated testing is preferred
- Experience with low-code platforms such as Retool is a plus
- Interest in blockchain technology is essential
- Technical blockchain knowledge is advantageous
- Fluency in English at least B2 level
- German language skills are a plus
