Senior Backend Engineer (Trading Infrastructure)
Summary
Architect and develop the core matching engine and order management system for a centralized crypto exchange, ensuring sub-millisecond latency and high throughput using Go/C++/Rust, Redis, Kafka, and gRPC.
We are seeking an elite Backend Engineer to architect the high-performance "brain" of our centralized exchange. This role is responsible for the core matching engine and order management systems, ensuring sub-millisecond latency and absolute precision for our trading products.
Job Responsibilities
- Engine Architecture: Design and develop the core Matching Engine and Order Management System (OMS) using high-concurrency patterns.
- Risk Logic: Implement a robust Risk Engine to manage real-time margin requirements, unrealized PnL tracking, and automated liquidations.
- Performance Optimization: Profile and tune the backend to minimize latency and maximize order throughput (TPS).
- Liquidity Integration: Build and maintain high-speed connectors for external Market Makers via FIX Protocol or binary APIs.
- Data Integrity: Ensure atomicity of the internal trade ledger using event-sourcing and write-ahead logging (WAL) strategies.
Requirements
- Programming: Expert proficiency in Go (Golang), C++, or Rust.
- Domain Experience: Proven track record in building CEX matching engines, HFT platforms, or electronic brokerage systems.
- Infrastructure: Deep experience with Redis (in-memory data), Kafka (messaging), and low-latency gRPC communication.
- Database: Proficiency in PostgreSQL and time-series data management.
- DevOps: Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP cloud networking.
- Systems Design: Strong understanding of multi-threaded programming, memory management, and lock-free data structures.
- Proficiency in Chinese language is highly preferred (due to internal stakeholders).
- Open to consider relocation or willing to travel on extended business trips.
