ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the founding engineering team at a Series A AI business intelligence startup building AI-native analytics tools. You will work across the product and codebase to deliver scalable systems for data-intensive analytical workloads.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and scale data pipelines for latency-critical analytical workloads.
- Contribute across the codebase and product rather than working in a narrow silo.
- Partner with engineering, product, company leadership, and customers to shape the product and engineering roadmap.
- Design secure, cost-efficient, scalable systems on modern cloud infrastructure.
- Help shape the team's engineering culture and technology choices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 4 years of backend engineering experience in product, platform, or infrastructure environments.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with experience building or supporting large-scale data pipelines.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, with strong technical fundamentals.
- Experience in a startup or other fast-paced environment, and a track record of working on high-performing engineering teams.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base salary: $250,000 to $300,000 USD annually.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
- H-1B transfers are considered case by case; OPT candidates should have at least two H-1B lottery attempts remaining.
LOCATION
Hybrid role based in San Mateo, California, United States.
