Senior Backend Engineer with Infrastructure Skills

emagine is looking for a Backend engineer to our amazing client in Stockholm

• Remote within Sweden

• 100 % workload

• Start asap - 6 month contract initially

The role is located in the Platform Developer Experience team who oversees and owns the infrastructure that cuts across all engineering disciplines.

What you’ll do

• Execute on the client’s CI infrastructure strategy that is able to serve thousands of engineers doing 100’s of thousands of builds daily and beyond

• Support with Operational tasks keeping our systems healthy and uptodate

• Drive the automation and improvements of our CI agents across our current technical stacks.

• Help scale our CI infrastructure to support large-scale monorepos.

• Collaborate with sibling teams to discover what a best in class CI infrastructure means.

Who you are

• You are an experienced Software Engineer with Java and Python

• You are an experienced engineer familiar with Linux, MacOS, and Windows as well as Networking fundamentals

• You have experience deploying to and implementing solutions in GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.

• You believe in iteration and know that finding the right solution is more important than the first.

• You like to focus on standardization and automation; always looking for ways to improve the developer experience

• You have 6+ years of experience in building and implementing large-scale systems across various projects and teams and have enthusiasm for software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery

Tech skills: (All technologies are not must have, but the more the better)

• Linux, MacOS, and Windows system administration experience

• HTTP / networking

• Google Cloud (preferred) / Azure / AWS

• Buildkite or Teamcity

• Ansible

• Terraform and Packer

• Java (Must have)

• Python

• Docker
