The Opportunity

We are seeking multiple Senior Backend Integration Developers to work on a 9 - 12 month fixed-term Mobile App project. This role is primarily focused on the API backend and the data that supports the project, including integrating with existing live systems.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Develop secure, scalable, highly performant backend systems that link with various frontend feature sets for a new mobile app.

• Collaborate closely with product teams, UI specialists, and frontend mobile app developers, under the guidance of a Project Manager in a business unit assembled for success.

• Contribute to architecture, system design and refactoring of complex system integrations.

• Maximise the AI tooling available to develop with speed and efficiency, while maintaining strong code quality.

• Communicate across internal and external teams to gather and translate requirements and deliver exceptional solutions.

Skills and Experience

• Strong expertise in C# / .NET.

• Experience designing and building secure and performant RESTful APIs in JSON format, using JWT for authentication/authorisation.

• Proficiency in leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to design, build, review, test, and optimize high-quality software efficiently.

• Good knowledge of Git for project version control.

• Excellent knowledge of relational databases and query syntax using SQL Server (or equivalent), and familiar with DB schema design.

• Solid understanding of designing secure and scalable systems, with a performance and reliability mindset.

• Experience developing cloud software at scale on AWS.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional global teams.

• Any experience with delivery of mobile applications will be advantageous but not essential.

• Experience with Shape Up delivery methodology an advantage (or equivalent e.g., Agile).

• Experience/familiar with using Jira/Confluence and other project management tools.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions and/or Jenkins.

• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals.

• Knowledge of the game of golf is an advantage, but not essential.
