Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain microservices architecture using modern backend technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to design efficient data models and optimize queries.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for APIs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to define API requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of our backend systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proven experience in designing and building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience with API gateways and management tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, vital for a remote role.
