The Senior Banking Full Stack Technologist will manage and support the OFSAA platform, focusing on profitability management, general ledger reconciliation, and the Financial Services Data Foundation. The role involves maintaining stable production environments and optimizing data models for finance and risk reporting.
Current OFSAA Footprint
1. Profitability Management (Cost Allocation Framework)
- Existing OFSAA Profitability Management platform hosts approximately 1,400 cost allocation rules.
- Implemented in 2020 based on the CNB Cost Allocation Policy.
- Running on the latest supported on-premises version deployed in production.
- Infrastructure consists of:
- 12 Virtual Machines
- 6 Physical Database Servers
- Highly stable BAU environment with:
- Automated single-click batch execution
- Automated rerun capabilities
- Automated data archival and purge processes
2. General Ledger Reconciliation (GLR)
- Reconciles detailed account-level balances against the General Ledger across all product categories used in cost allocation.
- Supports automated adjustment and posting capabilities based on configurable thresholds and rules.
- CNB currently uses GLR for reconciliation reporting and review; automated adjustment functionality is not enabled due to business requirements.
- The GLR module is generic and can be extended beyond cost allocation use cases to reconcile additional datasets across CNB & RBC portfolios.
3. Financial Services Data Foundation (FSDF)
- Serves as the foundational data model for all deployed OFSAA modules.
- Provides:
- Common staging area
- Application processing layers
- Shared results repositories
- Can act as an enterprise-wide finance and risk data platform and single source of truth.
- FSDF is the CPU for different OFSAA business modules.
