The Opportunity:

Yesway is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join our team. This position will report directly to the Manager of Data Analytics and Insights and will partner closely with the Accounting and Finance teams.

Position Responsibilities:

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth and operational efficiency.

• Perform statistical analysis (Linear/Logistic Regression, Time Series Analysis, Clustering) to identify trends and patterns.
• Use appropriate forecasting methodologies to forecast sales, margins, and other variables.
• Evaluate forecast accuracy and continuously improve model performance and reliability.
• Communicate complex statistical analyses, forecasts, and insights into clear, business-friendly terms to support data-driven decision-making.
• Design and build dashboards, visualizations, reports, and automations using Qlik Sense.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics that align with business goals.
• Continually monitor/improve/upgrade Qlik dashboard, automations, and reports.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality checks.
• Research industry trends and best practices; makes recommendations for enhanced reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar analytical role.
• 3+ years of experience using BI tools (Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Tableau, PowerBI).
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and self-motivated learning abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in convenience retail or multi-unit retail.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with statistical tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS) is a plus.
• Strong Qlik View/Sense skills.
• Strong data analysis background.
• Intermediate/advanced SQL Skills.
• Alteryx experience is a plus.
