Senior Branch Manager
Macro-responsibilities:
Leadership development -- Senior Branch Manager (SBM) will be expected to always have at least one Branch Manager (BM) under their direct tutelage. The SBM will provide ongoing mentorship to the BM(s) selected by the Regional Manager (RM).
Manager Training - SBM will regularly be assigned to new branch managers as an active resource for their learning and development. This includes reiterating and reinforcing company expectations while revealing the myriad resources available to new managers. SBM will aggressively follow-up with new managers to gauge their professional growth and progress for a time period determined by the RM (generally 6 months).
Quality Control -- SBM will work in concert with the Regional Administrative Assistants to continually compile and study information that can be used to assess the ability of a program(s) to have been properly implemented (for example, T.A.R.A., B.O.B., Barcode B.O.B., BEST report, etc.). This ongoing responsibility could be applied to whatever program or process is currently decided to be in the most important interest of the bank.
Micro-responsibilities:
* Monitor and manage sales activity to ensure allocated targets are met
* Accountable for new account production and branch targets and ensuring branch employee participation as outlined in the Branch Manager Sales Expectations document.
* Maintain satisfactory branch audits and retail audit assessments
* Develop ideas and solutions to achieve bank objectives and provide support to DM, DSM, RM and RSM
* Makes retention of existing customers and increasing market penetration first priority by reinforcing sales and service targets and strategies that contribute to the corporate growth objective
* Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population
* Create a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement to achieve maximum growth in efficiency, profitability, customer service and reduction of risk
* Provide performance feedback, coaching, training, conflict resolution and counseling
* Participate in community activities
* Ensure regulatory compliance standards are met, ensure adherence to the bank's policies and procedures
* Serve as District Manager Point of Contact during a District Manager's absence
* Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
* The SBM may at times be required to travel frequently.
* May be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location.
* Operate a computer and other office machinery
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
