Senior Business Analyst
Summary
Senior Business Analyst designs data flows and integration logic for a global transport/logistics firm’s new Enterprise Data Platform, bridging business needs with technical teams in an Agile setting.
About the Project
We are looking for Senior Business Analysts to join a high-priority, strategic digital transformation initiative for a global leader in transport and logistics. The project focuses on building a centralized Enterprise Data Platform to integrate complex systems following a major acquisition.
You will work on a mission-critical program introducing an Enterprise Planning System (data broker layer) between booking systems and ~30 TMS/OMS platforms. This layer standardizes data flows, laying the groundwork for group-wide AI capabilities and scalable future integrations. You will be embedded within a cross-functional squad operating in an Agile/Spotify-style model, collaborating with architects, engineers, QA, data analysts, and product owners.
Work Mode:100% Remote (Occasional travel to Copenhagen and EU hubs for workshops, up to ~15 days/year. Preferred 1st week of onboarding in Copenhagen).
Start Date: 01.09.2026
Project Duration: 3–6 months with a strong likelihood of long-term extension
Job Responsibilities
Translate complex cross-domain business needs into precise functional specifications, integration logic, and data mapping between booking systems, data brokers, and TMS/OMS platforms
Act as the primary bridge between business leaders, domain squad leads, and technical delivery teams to establish clear requirements and shared goals
Scrape, refine, and scope actionable user stories and task specifications in Jira with standard-setting quality
Map data structures (XML, JSON), define triggering mechanisms, analyze consistency SLAs, and perform capability audits to eliminate duplicate implementations across systems
Actively participate in 2-week sprints, supporting cross-platform collaboration among architects, developers, and testers to maintain delivery velocity under tight schedules
Expectations
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex technical ecosystems
Proven track record in projects involving system integrations, data flows, APIs, and data-driven/analytics platforms
Solid proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments (Spotify model exposure is a plus) within large-scale, international matrix organizations
Ability to analyze data structures/formats (JSON, XML) and translate business logic into clear technical scope for developers and architects
Confidence to present findings directly to senior stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and bring clarity to fast-moving, high-pressure environments
Proactive mindset - able to navigate ambiguity, take full ownership of deliverables, and quickly adapt without needing hand-held guidance
Fluent English (C1/C2, both spoken and written)
Nice to have
Experience in the Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport industry (highly valued)
Hands-on technical exposure to SQL, Python, or Databricks
Familiarity with Data Mesh concepts and TMS/OMS applications
