Senior Business Analyst (Advanced SQL Expert)
Location: Singapore
Role Overview
Lead complex data analysis and system operations by leveraging expert-level SQL capability to query multi-terabyte databases, drive business strategy, and optimize core business processes.
Top 3 Core Skills Required
Expert SQL & Complex Querying (Primary Focus):
Proven track record writing production-grade SQL (heavy optimization, CTEs, complex window functions, dynamic SQL, subqueries, and stored procedures).
Expertise in querying large-scale relational databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, MySQL) and performance-tuning slow queries.
Requirements Engineering & Agile Alignment:
Translating complex business problems into clear functional specs, user stories, and process flowcharts using Agile/Jira.
Data Visualization & Stakeholder Communication:
Translating raw SQL output into actionable BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) and presenting key findings to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL scripts to extract data, audit pipeline accuracy, and solve non-trivial business problems.
Partner with engineering teams to design scalable data models and validate complex database migrations.
Run User Acceptance Testing (UAT), set up data-validation test suites, and ensure strict compliance with Singapore’s PDPA guidelines.
