Senior Business Analyst - Data Ingestion

We are looking for a technically confident Senior Business Analyst with strong stakeholder management skills to guide data source onboarding across our GCP-based data platform. Success in this role comes from building effective working relationships, taking ownership, and keeping work moving. You will bring source owners, data consumers, and engineering teams together to align requirements, clarify priorities, and address risks before they affect delivery. You will oversee data onboarding from initial discussions with source owners and consumers through analysis, development planning, and delivery, working with a distributed team based in India, Central and Eastern Europe, and key stakeholders in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and maintain alignment across teams
• Clarify data requirements, dependencies, and expected delivery timelines
• Coordinate analysis and onboarding activities with engineering teams
• Maintain a clear view of what is planned, what is progressing, and where decisions or support are needed
• Proactively address blockers and risks, involve the right people, and escalate when necessary
• Keep stakeholders informed and follow actions through to completion
• Align different priorities across business and engineering teams and move discussions towards clear decisions
• Raise concerns constructively with clear communication

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or technical delivery coordination across business and engineering teams
• Proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership
• Understanding of data integration, ETL/ELT, and batch and real-time ingestion
• Working knowledge of GCP, particularly BigQuery and Cloud Storage
• Understanding of how on-premises data sources connect securely to cloud platforms
• SQL skills to explore data and support requirements analysis and validation
• Awareness of data security, compliance, governance, and data quality considerations
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience working in multicultural, geographically distributed teams
• Background in product ownership or business analysis within a data platform or cloud migration project
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines or GCP architecture
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and fundamentals, including Data Vault 2.0
